Scope and Contents From the Record Group: This record group contains records created and maintained by the South Dakota Department of Education and Cultural Affairs and includes meeting minutes, photographs, publications, correspondence, audio recordings of speeches and presentations, videotape recordings, grant files, school building specifications, budgets and other financial reports, architectural drawings of historic buildings, administrative subject files, posters, and annual reports.

Scope and Contents Contains meeting minutes of the South Dakota State Board of Education for 1960 and 1962-1980. Minutes from 1961 are not available. Also included are meeting minutes of the State Board for Vocational Education for the years 1965-1971 (the State Board of Education also functioned as the State Board for Vocational Education during this period) and the annual reports of the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education to the State Board of Education for the 1972-1973 and 1973-1974 school years.
