The collection consists of home specifications for a two story frame dwelling house in Pierre built for Col. E. P. Farr dated to May 12, 1908. The plans were made by E. J. Donahue, architect, 659 & 660 Gilfillan Block, St. Paul, MN. Plans include excavation, concrete foundation, chimneys, cement floors, iron work, carpenter work, furring, sheathing, roof, siding, cornice, dormer windows, corner pilasters, flooring, stairs, steps, outside casing, casing & base, vestibule seat, dining room window seat, wainscoting, drawer chests, frames, doors, china closet, pantry, closets, cabinet, chute, cold closet, veranda & porch, arches, plate rail, picture molding, ventilation, painting & glass, hardware, bulkhead doors, lath & plaster, door bells, storm sash & screens. Copies were made on acid free paper and added to the collection. The papers are also on microfilm, reel number 1894.
