Content Description

The collection consists of 12 scans of the Pierre area (and one of Ft. Pierre) during various periods of its history. There are five images of the Pierre 1952 Flood including images of a flooded Pierre St., the Capital Milling Company, Montgomery Ward, & the Discovery Center. There is one aerial view of the 1952 flood of Ft. Pierre. There are three images of a parade during the Spanish American War of 1898. There is one image of a parade in Pierre looking south down Pierre St in 1912. There are two older images of Pierre; one looking north on Pierre St. and one of Dakota Ave these images are not dated. The disk of scanned images is with the collection. Photocopies of the images were made on acid-free paper. The scans are also available digitally on the N: drive.
