Content Description

The collection consists of a CD with 9 color scans of an archaeological dig performed by the Smithsonian Institute shortly before the site was inundated by Lake Francis Case ca. 1950s. The dig location was known as the Oldham Site (39CH7) in Charles Mix County. Two scans are of the Fort Randall Dam. The remaining 7 images were taken at the site. Roy Smit (uncle of the donator) took the images. The dig was west, southwest of Platte, SD. The images are printed out on acid-free paper and placed in the collection with the CD. The digital copies are saved to the N: drive.
