Bradley (S.D.)--Photographs
Content Description
The collection consists of fourteen mounted black and white photographs and one unmounted photograph taken in and around the town of Bradley (S.D.). The unmounted photograph is of school children standing in front of the Bradley school in 1925. A list of the children in the picture is included. The school was dedicated in November 1923 and cost $50,000 to build. The fourteen mounted images are of Bradley (S.D.) and the surrounding area taken around 1905. Four images are bird’s eye views of the town showing Main Street, grain elevators, homes, and the Chicago and Milwaukee Railroad depot. Three images are attributed to Grays Photo Studio in Watertown (S.D.) and include two images of Bradley homes and one image of a threshing rig and crew. Three images are of the Feldmeyer farmstead in Clark County with one of the photos attributed to photographer K. J. Frostad of Webster (S.D.). Also included are an image of the interior of the Bradley Drug Store, two homes, and a horse-drawn wagon (decorated with a patriotic theme) carrying nineteen women. The horse drawn wagon image is also attributed to Grays Photo Studio in Watertown.
