Content Description

The collection consists of a World War I era scrapbook and a number of Miscellaneous South Dakota and Pierre related materials consisting of news clippings, pamphlets, and photos. The WWI era scrapbook has images of Richard C. Miller a member of the Overseas Photo Detachment. Many of the images in the collection are identified by type-script. Most of the images are of Camp Cody, New Mexico. Camp Cody was a WWI training encampment. Also included are images of the First SD Cavalry across the US. There are also a number of images taken in New York City. Also included is a birth certificate and images of Dixie Miller, at 3 weeks old along with a number of portrait images of Richard Miller. The other donated materials include miscellaneous South Dakota and Pierre, SD historical materials, including news clippings, pamphlets, and photographs.
