Content Description

The collection includes a twelve page manuscript created by Irene Cordts. The manuscript relates the story of Theodore and Anna (Klein) Huss of Faulk County. Married in Alton, IA in February of 1908, Theodore and Anne moved to Faulk County and that same year built a small farmstead in Arcade Township. In 1919 they moved to another farmstead in Orient Township and lived there until they retired in 1949. The Theodore and Anna had nine children. The manuscript follows the history of the Huss’ buildings from there original 1908 farmstead: where they were moved, and who purchased them. Also included is a chronology of the Huss family which was made part of the permanent record of the South Dakota Hall of Fame.
