The collection consists of Elks Lodge, Lead, SD No. 747 materials received by a Mr. John Carr of Lead. The collection includes three lodge meeting notification postcards sent to Mr. Carr, a blank due slip, a program noting those who had passed away from both the Lead and Deadwood Lodge, and a similar program for the Silver Bow Lodge, No 240 in Butte, MT. Also in the collection are a book catalogue from Popular Mechanics in 1905 and photocopies of a Deadwood, SD newspaper, in February (date unknown), which mentions Mr. Carr’s name at a meeting of the Pioneer Hook and Latter company in Deadwood.
