Cottonwood (S.D.)--Photo Album, ca. 1920s
Content Description
The collection consists of one, twenty-one page photo album of snapshot images. The photo album is valuable as a representation of images from the 1920s. Some of the images found in the photo album include: Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, Badlands, Hot Springs buildings, automobiles, threshing machines, cattle, horses, homes, schools, WWI soldiers, cowboys, swimming, nursing students, big revival tents, and various family scenes. It is believed that many of the images were taken in the Cottonwood (S.D.) area. Some names are listed in the photo album, but further research was unable to identify any of the individual names listed. There are also a few “urban setting” images that are more than likely not from South Dakota.
