The collection consists of various materials relating to Northern League Baseball. The Northern League existed in the upper Midwest and southern Canada during the periods of 1901-1917, 1933-1941 and 1946-1971. South Dakota played a valuable part in the history of the Northern League with teams in Aberdeen, Sioux Falls, Huron and Watertown. Materials found in the collection include photographs, postcards, programs, scorecards, schedules, passes, contracts, news clippings and tickets. The Museum of the South Dakota State Historical Society also received a number of Northern League Baseball materials from the donor.
