The collection consists of a DVD created by the Missouri Sedimentation Action Coalition titled, “Educational DVD about Sedimentation in Missouri River Reservoir Systems and History of the System, 2008.” The DVD is narrated by Tony Dean and has three chapters: “To Thin to Plow, To Thick to Drink,” “Our Most Precious Asset,” and “The Right and Duty of this Generation.” The DVD offers details on the sediment build up on the Missouri River. The history of the dams on the river is also emphasized by showing construction film footage of the Oahe Dam. The South Dakota State Archives provided film footage of the dam’s construction. Howard Paul, Executive Director of MSAC is also in the film.
