Content Description
The collection consists of five audiocassette tapes. The audio tapes are oral history accounts of the Larson and Anderson family of Perkins County, South Dakota. Transcripts of the interviews were previously donated via collection H2012-110. The interviews were conducted between 1976 and 1981. The accounts are of Ray Anderson, Agnes (Larson) Anderson, Edna (Larson) Jerde, and Ida (Larson) Jerde. Titles for the accounts include: Ray Anderson, early history living in Bison; Ray Anderson, World War II memories; Agnes Larson Anderson and her sister Edna Larson Jerde memories of childhood games and parties; Agnes Larson Anderson memories of growing up at Zeona SD on the ranch; Agnes Larson Anderson memories of rural school teaching and her tenure as Co. Supt. of Schools in Perkins County; Ida Larson Jerde memories of coming to the homestead in 1912 and settling down.
