Fred C. Grow Collection
This collection consists of genealogical papers of the Fred C. Grow family. See the note written by the donor for information on the family. Fred C. Grow was born in 1873 in Red Wing, Minnesota. Fred married Nina Maude Tebbets in 1900. Nina was born in 1877 in Massachusetts. After operating the Dawson Vidette and the Interstate Messenger in Marietta the family moved to Hoven in 1907. Fred operated the Hoven Advance from 1904 through 1913, when the family relocated to Watertown. Fred and his wife, Nina, had thirteen children; Dorothy, Louise, Elwin, Elizabeth, Paul, Martha, Milton, Judith, William, Margaret, Miriam, Willard, and Roger. Fred died in 1938 and Elwin, Willard and Paul continued the family printing business. Nina died in 1957 in Watertown. Fred was active in the Congregational Church, the Elks, the Odd Fellows, YMCA, the Chamber of Commerce and Scouting.
