Content Description

The collection consists of various items transferred to the State Archives from the Moody County Historical Society. The collection mainly contains postcards with a few photographs. Separately, the collection features moisture content test sheets for various grain products, distributed by the Seed Trade Reporting Bureau in Chicago, IL. The miscellaneous photographs in the collection include various images of Native Americans, some at powwows and images from the Bishop Hare School (Mission, S.D.). Other identified images include baseball players, a group of Native American women with a star quilt, a group of Native Americans from Okreek (S.D.), as well as identified individuals, Elizabeth Dorian, Susan Wright, Reverend A.B. Clark and family and Reverend Luke Walker (Lower Brule). Miscellaneous items were added to either the Vertical or Biographical Files. A number of postcards were also include, a list of which is provided below.
