Content Description

This collection consists of black and white photographs that were published in the Heritage of the Great Plains in the article, "An Editor Hails the Automobile: Al J. Adams and the Sisseton Courier." The article was written by the donor. Al purchased the Sisseton Courier in 1923 and operated the newspaper until his death in 1944. Al proclaimed his opinions and comments in the editorial section of the newspaper. The Adams' family was instrumental in restoring Fort Sisseton. The collection includes a photo of Fort Sisseton and a press release regarding the donation of furniture by Jack Adams.
