Content Description
The collection consists of postcards, photos, maps, and business advertisements from Highmore, SD in Hyde County. Photos and postcard include: new Hyde County Courthouse, Highmore Roller Mill, M. E. Church of Highmore, Camp Joy Tower Station – Kadoka, Duke Lawrence Barber Shop – Highmore, View of Highmore ca. 1908, and an image of the Hyde Cottel Company - Highmore. Business advertisement materials include a calendar from 1910 for the McLaughlin Company – Highmore, three postcards for the National Liberty Insurance Company – P. I. Neister, Agent, and a 1931 calendar for the Harris Food Store – Highmore. Also included are a 1989 reprint of a 1925 Rand McNally Junior Auto Trails Map and a Township map of Hyde and Faulk County, ca. early twentieth century.
