Content Description
The collection consists of twenty-three digital images scanned from original photographs taken at Sisseton (S.D.) during the 60th Anniversary celebration and parade commemorating the 1892 opening of the Sisseton Wahpeton Reservation to settlement and the creation of Sisseton. The images, dating to 1952, include parade scenes, numerous floats and carnival scenes. Various Sisseton town buildings are present in the background. The donor’s grandparents, Jack and Anne Rose of Warburg, Alberta, Canada took the photographs. The images comprise 68.4 MB scanned at 600 resolution and saved as .tif files. The original images were roughly 3”x 5” in size.
