Content Description

The collection consists of one brochure advertising the “King Korn’s Festival” held at the Corn Palace (Mitchell, S.D.), September 24-29, 1934. The twenty four page brochure notes seventeen different programs held in the Corn Palace throughout the festival. The various programs are advertised as being of well-known radio acts or personalities including singers, bands, comedians and dancers. The festival also featured a number of free street acts. The brochure also provides a number of business advertisements, mostly for Mitchell businesses. Of note, are ads for both the South Dakota Democratic and Republican Party candidates, particularly Governor Tom Berry.
