Content Description
The collection consists of one photo album with over one hundred black and white snapshot images of the Daniel and Felecia Bowden family, and daughters Dorothy and Marlys, who lived in Gregory (S.D.) ca. 1910s. The photo album features mostly family images of the children. Other topics within the South Dakota part of the album include baseball scenes, photographs of Native Americans, winter scenes, the Corn Palace in 1913 and Fourth of July parades in Gregory and Burke. Images from photographer R. V. Lienhart of Winner and Burke are also in the collection. The album also includes images from Northfield (MN) and Oregon. The family, originally from Minnesota (the birth state of Daniel Bowden), moved to Gregory in the 1910s and by the 1920s had moved to Oregon. The album also includes images from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester (MN).
