Content Description

The collection consists of 11 glass plate negatives taken and collected by Harry Robbins believed to be taken in Campbell County near Pollock (S.D.). Harry Eugene Robbins was born January 17, 1889 in Platteville (WI) to Rodderick and Margaret Robbins. He moved to South Dakota in 1907. He was a veteran of World War I and was known as a local photographer who lived near Pollock (S.D.). He died February 2, 1982. All but two of the plates are in good condition. The plates were rehoused in acid free, glass plate negative envelopes and placed in the State Archive’s vault with the other Harry Robbins glass plates.
