The collection consists of various brochures/pamphlets and photographs, mainly from the Black Hills of South Dakota, collected and taken by Delrose and Stanley Swartz on a family vacation to South Dakota. From Jeffers (MN), Delrose and Stanley, along with Delrose’s parents Elmer and Mable Pankonin took a trip to South Dakota in July of 1957. Informational brochures collected and photos taken include Mount Rushmore, Black Hills Passion Play, Custer State Park, Custer State Park Game Lodge, Deadwood (S.D.), Spearfish Opera House, Sylvan Lake, Badlands, Corn Palace, Homestake Mine (Lead, S.D.), Needles Highway, Wall Drug, Dinosaur Park (Rapid City, S.D.), and Rockerville (S.D.).
