The collection consists of photographs and postcards of various locations throughout South Dakota. The postcard images include the Corn Palace in1915, Sylvan Lake, trains with gold ore at Terry (S.D.), a scenic view near Sturgis (S.D.), the railroad line on horseshoe curve and knife blade rock in the Black Hills and various scenes of the Homestake Mine in Lead (S.D.) from the 1910s. Photographs include an image of a completed Mount Rushmore ca. 1940s, an image of the Sylvan Lake Hotel and a studio portrait taken by Stanley Morrow. The items were transferred from the Montana State Historical Society
