The collection consists of materials related to Donald and Audrey Grosshuesch and their family members. Items of note include a colorized photograph of the Grosshuesch house, located two miles northeast of Kaylor (S.D.); a photograph of Donald and his brother Robert with Alvin and Lester Schuette, taken in the 1930s; a photograph, obituary and news article concerning Lt. Paul A Grosshuesch, Donald’s brother, who was killed during World War II in New Guinea; military training certificates for Donald Grosshuesch from Fort Snelling (MN) including a photo of the soldiers at the fort; and a photocopy of a poster for a farm auction sale for the Grosshuesch farm.
