Mount Rushmore Construction Photos
The collection consists of two, 2 ½” x 4 ½” black and white photographs. The images show later construction scenes of Mount Rushmore, presumably from the late 1930s. Most of the heads are recognizable with scaffolding covering over half of President Theodore Roosevelts face. Other scaffoldings and rigging can be seen on the faces. Although seemingly identical, the photos were taken from two different vantage points. The identity of the photographer is unknown.
