Content Description

The collection consists of two photo albums and loose photographs of various family and school scenes from Ravinia (S.D.) in Charles Mix County from the 1910s to 1920s. The scrapbooks are not identified and no family name or individual is associated with the images. The majority of the images are family scenes, mostly of children, and a number of school children in front or near the Ravinia School. Various scenes also show the Missouri River and Lake Andes. There are also images of school buses, baseball teams, homes, swimming scenes, farm scenes, automobiles and various animals. There are also a few vacation scenes that are not from South Dakota. There is also a photo of the Yankton Sioux Treaty Monument of 1857 at Greenwood (S.D.)
