The collection consists of various luncheon invitations/teas with Governor’s Mansion or Executive Mansion invitation cards and envelopes. The Great Seal of the State of South Dakota is included on the cards. The names predominantly shown on the cards are of Nellie Houck wife of Roy Houck who served as Lieutenant Governor from 1955-1959 under Governor Joe Foss. A number of cards also include the wife of Joe Foss, June Foss. The invitations date to the late 1950s. Two of the envelopes are addressed to Mrs. Houck. There are also a number of random luncheon invitations to various Pierre events.
