The collection consists of eight, reprint photographs taken in 1948 at the Wounded Knee Massacre Monument site in South Dakota. In 1948, Lynette (Perry) Fredericksen, her father Frank Perry and family friend Joe Cash visited the Wounded Knee Monument site. The eight photographs consist of the group standing at the brick cemetery gateway entrance, a watchtower at the battlefield site, a view from atop the watchtower looking north, a general land view of the battlefield site, Wounded Knee Catholic Church (Wounded Knee), the Wounded Knee Monument, a close up image of the monument and the rectangular burial site at the cemetery.
