The collection consists of five various images found within the Miller Studio building in Pierre (S.D.). Photographs include a small panoramic image of the South Dakota State Fair in Huron (S.D.) dated September 16, 1910, a photograph taken in Pierre looking north up Pierre Street with the Hughes County Courthouse in the distance date 1890, an image looking south down Pierre Street showing a horse drawn trolley with various buildings in the background including the Locke Hotel from 1888, a close up photo of the ferryboat W.D. Walden from the late 1910s and a photograph of the filming of Dances with Wolves from 1989 showing Kevin Costner and two Native Americans lying on the ground looking at a herd of buffalo.
