The collection consists of various items transferred from the Timber Lake and Area Historical Society (Timber Lake, S.D.). Postcards include rest haven at Lake Andes (S.D.), Halley Park Historical Museum (Rapid City, S.D.), post office at Yankton (S.D.), Peabody Hospital (Webster, S.D.), automobile views at Tripp (S.D.), Belle Fourche (Orman) Dam, boat landing, ravine drive and moonlight view near Vermillion (S.D.), Science Hall at the University of South Dakota (Vermillion, S.D.), bird’s eye view of Miller (S.D.), main street view of Brookings (S.D.), street view of Belle Fourche (S.D.), street cars at Aberdeen (S.D.), the Ward Hotel (Aberdeen, S.D.), catholic church, school and parsonage at Bristol (S.D.), Sacred Heart Hospital and Convent (Yankton, S.D.). The postcards mainly date to the 1910s. The collection also includes an issue of South Dakota Guardsman from June 1908 published by the South Dakota National Guard. A bank booklet for the Janousek State Bank (Janousek, S.D.), located in Bon Homme County, belonging to Ralph Hacecky. Two report cards for Tony Kulis from Lakeport School District Number 13 in Yankton County from 1907 and 1909. A South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks synopsis of game, fish and fur laws from 1937-1939 was added to the vertical files under “Game, Fish and Parks.” Items not wanted were returned to the museum.
