Content Description
The collection consists of six postcards of various scenes in South Dakota. Postcard images include a Community Tourist Camp in Chamberlain (S.D.) and a bird’s eye view of Chamberlain and the Missouri River, ca. 1930s. Rise Studio images of an aerial view of Rapid City (S.D.) and a construction photo of Mount Rushmore both presumably from the 1940s and two linen postcard views by the Black Hills Novelty Company of Rapid City of Mount Rushmore through the Iron Mountain Road tunnel and an image of a Sioux medicine man named Little Warrior, both dating to the 1950s.
