The collection consists of one booklet and one DVD concerning the history of Galena (S.D.) in Lawrence County. The booklet titled, “Some Came A Long Way To Die: Vinegar Hill Cemetery, 1878-2019, Galena (S.D.)” provides information on 135 burials in the cemetery. Information includes name and burial location, birth date, death date and other family information. The cemetery information was compiled by Jeri (Borsch) and John Fahrni, Michael and Nancy Laufman, Melinda and Don Wiedemer. A digital version of the booklet is included with the collection. The donation also includes digital files on Galena history consisting of news clippings, census date as well as images and captions on PowerPoint slides.
