Content Description
The collection consists of three real color postcards of the Needles Highway and Badlands dating to the 1950s. Image include a view of the “Fabulous Badlands of South Dakota,” the “Needle’s Eye Tunnel,” and “A Lofty Spire Viewed Along the Needles Highway” which is an image of the rock formation known as the Traffic Cop. A date, “August 1959,” is written in pen on the back of each postcard. The postcard notes Bob Young as the photographer with the postcards published by Dan Grigg Enterprises (Mitchell, S.D.).
