Content Description
The collection consists of twenty (20), 35mm color slides of various construction scenes of the Oahe Dam, located north of Pierre (S.D.). Terrence Williams, a rural resident living near Gettysburg (S.D.), took the images in June 1956. Images include scenes along the Missouri River, views of earth-moving equipment, dump trucks and a large Marion Power Shovel Company crane. The images predate the Missouri River closure in 1958. The collection also includes two slides of a large grain elevator in Onida (S.D.).
