The collection consists of one manuscript titled, “One Sailors’ Experience aboard the Battleship USS South Dakota, World War II.” The USS South Dakota, also known as Battleship X, was one of the most decorated battleships during World War II. The manuscript explains the history of the last two years of the USS South Dakota in the Pacific during World War II. There are nineteen typed pages to the manuscript with a few photocopied images included in the manuscript.
