The collection consists of one photo album (5 x 7 ½ x 1) of images taken by Anne Vinton of Chicago, IL in July of 1913 while visiting her cousin Maie Ball of Vilas, SD in Miner County. The photo album offers a narrative of Anne’s visit and photographs of Mark and Maie Ball, their children, horses, bicycles, and the Ball home. The photo album also shows a number of Shetland ponies owned by the Merriam family of Vilas. The narrative of the photo album runs ten pages long with sixteen black and white photographs.
