Content Description

The collection consists of photographs, family histories, genealogy charts, letters, and other materials of the Andrew C. Brink Family which lived in Pierre during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Andrew C. and Albertina Brink lived in Pierre with there children Ethel, Helen, Frances, Pierre, Ruth, and Gertrude. Included in the collection are images of Ethel and Frances. Ethel was one of the six women whose initial made up the naming of Hisega. Additional photos included in the collection are of Andrew as a deacon and choir member of the Baptist church in Pierre, and Andrew with a group of people at a picnic. Albertina died in June of 1907 and Andrew died December of 1913; images of their grave markers are also included. Other materials in the collection include poems written by Frances, genealogy charts of various family members, and small write-ups on Brink family members. There is also a newspaper article on the Brink/Wegner/Curl house in Pierre.
