Carol Jennings Collection
Content Description
The collection consists of photographs collected by Carol Jennings of Highmore, SD. The images were compiled over a period of several years and include original images, postcards, and photo reprints. Other images in the collection include Pierre, Holabird, Hyde County Farms, and miscellaneous photos. The photographs date roughly from the 1880s to the 1980s. A small panoramic photo of Highmore was placed in box 3719B. A Keiser Land Company map, circa 1910, titled “South Dakota, The Land of Plenty and Sunshine,” was also added to the collection. The map promoted the sale of lands in Hand, Hyde, Hughes, Sully, and “old” Stanley Counties. The reverse has promotional materials on South Dakota.
