The collection consists of a 105 page pdf document created by Terry Kukuk of Lewis and Adaline Goodroad and their immigration to Dakota Territory in the 1870s. The document is also a family history of the Goodroad’s and their children. The manuscript is an excellent, and well researched, example of the homesteading process in Dakota Territory. The file includes scanned photographs, letters, and news clippings.
