Oahe Dam Collection--Aerial Photographs, ca. 1950s
Content Description
The collection consists of six aerial photos of the Oahe Dam construction, one map of Farm Island recreational facilities, and one oversized scrapbook. The aerial photographs are of the early construction phases of the Oahe Dam ca. 1950s. Most of the images are of the earth moving process and the early closing of the Missouri River. All of the images are in frames (both metal and wooden). The images will be removed from the frames and the frames will be discarded. The collection included a scrapbook with various news clippings and magazine articles of hunting stories. The scrapbook will be discarded unless the donor wishes to have it returned. Photo Dimensions: 16”x 20”
