Moody County Historical Society Collection
Content Description
The collection consists of various materials donated by the Moody County Historical Society. Photographs included in the collection: photos of Flandreau schools, envelope and negatives from Canedy Camera Shop – Sioux Falls, Mobridge – Bridge Construction (color & black/white), Oahe Dam Construction (color & black/white), and “Dacotah” the Movie – scene images. Three postcards: Bridal Veil at Crystal Lake, Flaming Cabins-Yankton, and Agricultural Heritage Museum – Tractor. A reminiscence titled, “A Pioneer Daughter,” by Mrs. James T. Bigelow, 1949 is also included. The donated news clippings were added into the Vertical File under: Flandreau, Moody County, Elkton, Dakota State College, University of South Dakota, Elections, and School of Mines. Materials were added to the Biographical File under: Billy Graham, Sheryl Ladd, Governor Mike Rounds, Dick Wilson, and Wallace “Red” Barron. The book, Historical Cookery of the Black Hills, was added to the Library Collection.
