Content Description

Carol (Young) Anderson inherited the farms in Sully and Hughes counties, South Dakota upon the death of her father E. M. Young in 1988. Carol assumed management under the Special Use option within the IRS. Carol and her husband Dennis moved to Ft. Pierre and established a farm office in Onida. Over the ten year time period, the farms were divided into three to five leases with a small portion of land farmed by Carol herself for a short period of time. The collection consists of nearly twelve cubic feet of materials on the D. L. Anderson Corporation. The collection includes a number of farm operations from roughly 1988 to 1998. For the most part, the collection was accessioned in the order in which it was received.
