Landmark Map of the State of South Dakota
The collection consists of one map titled, “Landmark Map of the State of South Dakota.” The map is dated to 1930. Features included on the map are towns, counties, railroad lines, airports, geographical features (specifically mountains, hills, rivers, creeks, and buttes), reservation lands, as well as township and range coordinates. The map was compiled and published by the State Geographical and Natural History Survey at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Listed on the map are E. T. Rothrock - State Geologist and M.E. Kirby – Compiler and Draftsman.
