Brown County School Census Reports, 1912 - 1972

This series contains the school census reports for all districts in Brown County between 1892 and 1974. As these are the reports sent to the Department of School and Public Lands many of the reports only contain the student’s name, age and parent’s name but there are a number of reports that include grades and student rankings and as such are restricted and census reports from later years may contain student health information. Census reports for public districts 1-27 are found in boxes 1-4 and are arranged numerically by district number. The bulk of the series is comprised of census reports for Aberdeen District #32. Aberdeen census reports are arranged in chronological order beginning in box 4 and ending in box 7. Census reports for independent schools are arranged numerically by district number in boxes 8 and 9.
