Insect and Disease Control Files, FY 1969-1983
Scope and Contents
Consists of files documenting efforts by the Division of Forestry between FY 1969 and 1983 to study and control insect pest populations for the protection of forests and smaller stands of trees. Most of the files concern mountain pine beetles but also address gypsy moths, red-humped oak worms, pine engravers, walnut caterpillars, and ash borers. Records include memoranda and correspondence, staff notes and monthly activity reports, project proposals, meeting minutes, insect survey data sheets, and annotated maps depicting control areas.
