Scope and Contents
Consists of subject and correspondence files maintained by the Department of Transportation (formerly Department of Highways) Division of Administration between 1944 and 1978 and includes correspondence and memoranda (including copies of correspondence to and from Governors Richard F. Kneip and Harvey L. Wollman concerning state and federal transportation matters), District Engineers and Highway Research Review Board meeting minutes, reports, city and county maps, photographs, legal opinions, summonses, complaints, service agreements and contracts, commission actions and authorizations, and records pertaining to engineering projects and other programs overseen by the Department of Transportation.
