Scope and Contents
Subject Correspondence Files consists of correspondence, staff memos and attachments thereto from and to the Office of the Attorney. Current arrangement is roughly chronological by year of correspondence; alphabetical by surname of non-AG correspondent or subject of correspondence; thereunder in reverse chronological order by date of correspondence. There is more than one alphabetical “run”. The files were known in the office of origin as “General Files.” Most of the files are dated from 1979 to 1982.

Public access to legal opinions and attorney correspondence is restricted pursuant to SDCL 1-27-1.5(3), 1-27-1.7, and 19-13-2 through 19-13-4
