Climatic Data (Computer Files)

The climatic readings were originally transferred to the Archives on computer data tapes. In November 2013, the data tapes were sent to Muller Media for conversion. The resulting EBC and TXT files were saved with the Archives' Digital Collections. Muller Media produced an Excel spreadsheet detailing the data recovery success rates for each tape. Archives staff also created an Excel spreadsheet to document the information written on each tape. These spreadsheets are available on the Archives server. The obsolete data tapes were destroyed.
