These offices include Economic Opportunity, Energy Policy, Economic Development, the State Planning Bureau, and the offices of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. Administrative History

The Department of Executive Management is headed by the governor and includes the offices of the governor and the lieutenant governor. The mission of the Department of Executive Management is to maintain the capability of responding to the public's needs in an expedient and efficient manner through policy formulation and implementation, fiscal resources management, personnel resources management, and central services administration. Thus, this department has historically included a wide range of bureaus and offices including the Office of Indian Affairs. This finding aid reflects a partial administrative history as some agencies under the Department of Executive Management will be documented separately in their own finding aids such as Bureau of Administration, Bureau of Information and Telecommunications, and Bureau of Finance and Management.
