This series contains one microfilm roll of board minutes from the State Training School. The minutes date from May 28, 1955 to September 9, 1978 and contain information pertaining to the management of and educational programs offered by the State Training School.
This series consists of correspondence, reports, studies, and minutes relating to the physical facilities, operations, personnel, and population of the institutions governed by the Board. Institutions include the State Penitentiary, Custer State Hospital, Redfield State Hospital, State Veterans’ Home, State Training School, Yankton State Hospital/Human Services Center, Youth Forestry Camp, and Women’s Correctional Facility.
This series consists of tract books for educational and charitable lands in South Dakota. Volumes give the legal description of the land, the total acreage, the land sale number, the patent number, the lease number and the lease expiration date. Notations about appraised value, easements, right of ways, covenants and history may be found.
