This series contains digital photographs taken by Dan Brosz (Museum Curator of Collections) during the Vietnam War Memorial Rededication ceremony in Pierre on September 24, 2016. U.S. Senator Mike Rounds spoke at the event. Also includes a video clip of a helicopter hovering over Capitol Lake.

Scope and Contents This series contains index cards of bonus claims from Vietnam Veterans to the Board of Veteran’s Affairs of South Dakota. The cards include basic information about the veteran such as time served in the military, branch of military, birthdate and usually a social security number especially on later claims. Also includes maps and invitations for dedication events, ceremony programs, merchandise quotes, volunteer instructions and information, newspaper clippings from surrounding areas, the guest register, and promotional merchandise including posters.
